UPDATE

Following on from our previous update, Dauntsey’s School has very kindly moved back the date for tennis court installation so that Devizes HC can make use of both pitches for the first half of April. Our biggest thanks to the school for this - what wonderful partners to have.

As such we are thrilled to announce that we will be able to hold a series of sessions over this period for all ages. Let's see off the end of this hockey season with training, fun matches and, more importantly, seeing as many of you as possible in person!

We do appreciate that some of these sessions fall over the Easter weekend but we are so excited to be out on the pitch that we’ve decided to go ahead and would be delighted to see as many of you as possible.

You can find all of the sessions planned here (and all will be added to Pitchero very shortly):
These sessions will run from Monday 29 March to Thursday 15 April.

Monday 29 March, 5 April and 12 April:
Men’s training 7pm-9pm.

You will still need to indicate your attendance on Pitchero - all sessions will be up there by the end of the week. Also you won't need to fill in another England Hockey Participation form - your previous one remains extant.

All other covid-compliant restrictions remain extant too: social distancing off of the pitch, hand sanitising, not picking up equipment etc. You can read our policy on the website to remind yourselves if necessary.

Spectators are still not allowed and only U18 parents as a safeguarding measure - please ensure you stick to rules on bubbles and social distancing.

And of course we still have our jam-packed summer hockey programme coming up too - make sure you follow our social feeds to keep up-to-date and further details.

So, what do you need to do?

• Make sure you have registered for the season with the club on Pitchero by Thurs evening.

• Make sure you have filled in England Hockey’s Participation Agreement form and put DevIzes HC as your club by Thurs evening.

• Once the sessions have been uploaded on Pitchero, (this will be happening tomorrow) you must mark your child’s availability on there to attend the session by Fri evening.

If you don’t do these things, your child won’t be allowed on to the pitch and that would be a shame since you’ve all waited so long!

All of our sessions are full - if you now can’t attend, please let us know so we can allocate your spot to someone on the waiting list. Any new players registering will be placed on the waiting list and you will be contacted if a space becomes available.

Any problems, please contact secretary@devizeshockey.co.uk and we’ll do our best to help.

Please follow our facebook, instagram or twitter accounts or check this website to stay updated.

Thank you so much for supporting us in returning to play safely.
