Midshires allow Zoo to keep animals on Pitch!!

Hi all Mattie here. I must apologise for not writing much in the last year or so. Reggie our now retired coach has again beentaking up much of our time, the final straw, the straw that broke the camles back, both literally and metaphorically was when he persuaded Shortfeat, our local safari park that it would be agood idea for them to keep some of their animals on the pitch. His reasoning although understandable was that he had heard that the same sort of thing was going to happen with Midhsire Cricket Club and he wanted to get in on the act first, he hates being outdone!!! Anyway there was much consternation one morning when we discovered a couple of Alpacas and a Llama trying to graze the pitch. I think Mattie has finally flipped and he has been placed on an Island at Shortfeat for his own protection. He apparently did ot know that the idea of animals grazing on the Cricket outfield had been poo-pooed some weeks earlier.

In closing I think it is fair to say that life is never dull here in Midshires, although with the demise of Reggie McMillan we will lack a bit of colour. All applicants for the Midshires HC 3rd X1 coaching job should send their CV to me.
