The New Season is here - at b....y last!!

Hi All Mattie here!! The new league season has now started. I understand your Mens Second team played last night away and won 6-0 well done!! My Cousins are all ploughing fields at the moment so our league grants us our annual postponement for the first league weekend.

The summer as been a good one, excpet for the weather, but as a farmer I am very happy the wheat price has gone up considerably. This will probably mean a rise in food prices with the market at the hel, rathe rthan some jolly jokers I could mention. Anyway that's olsd ground and the joke is now a little thin!!

Reginald MacMillan our somewhat ageing Coach has, after spending the entire off season in rehab, returned to the club, hooorah, I hear you cry!! Alas he wants to coach our Junior Section this year and the first question he asked is whether he could have a drink whilst coaching. I replied stating I am sure a Lucozade or some such brightly coloured drink would be okay, he said he wanted a proper drink. It was beginning to dawn on me that rehab may not have worked, so I asked him again about the drink. He replied in almost a whisper tha the had not gone into rehab to cure a drinking problem but to try and cure his sex addiction - my jaw dropped!!
