Why on earth do people complain? What do they want?

The dribbler has never ceased to be amazed at why people still insist on whingeing and complaining about life at Devizes Hockey Club.
In eight years the club has gone from 1 ladies side to having 3 ladies, 4 mens, and countless junior sides that are ranked as County champions. How many other clubs have expanded like that? The dribbler for one is proud to be part of such a development and progress.
Cast your mimd back a few years. Are you a better player now, or back then? The dribbler believes that his knowledge of the game has improved manifestly over that time. The main reason for that is due to the coaching that we have received. She/he also suspects that your game will have improved too, even if you are to proud/ignornat to admit it.
When a club expands as rapidy as this one has, growth is very hard to manage. Our chairman has done an excellent job, and should be applauded. How many other clubs in the area have their a clubhouse facility like ours, pretty much unlimited use of the pitch at excellent rates, a specific academy for developing our youth players, a youth section where present players actively participate in the training even if they don't have children themselves, a women's section coached exclusively by volunteers, and so on.
You are lucky to be part of Devizes Hockey Club. Yet you make your own luck by participating in the running and functionality of this club of ours. A word of warning though, pathetic sniping and unconstructive comments will only have a degenerative effect on the club in the long term. People give up their time to make this club operate. You have worked hard to get this far. We can all go further if we are in the same boat, paddling in the same direction.
What more do people want? The majority of the mens sides win every week, and the ladies are going in the right direction. We enjoy each others company, more than other clubs where players come from far and wide.
I guess some people are never happy though.....
